Wild Oats Markets Inc. (Boulder, Colo.) has named Dan Bolstad senior vp of operations, effective July 25, 2005. He succeeds Edward Dunlap, who has resigned from the company.

Bolstad was most recently senior vp of operations for ShopKo Stores (Green Bay, Wis.). He had previously spent 27 years at Fred Meyer Stores (Portland, Ore.), a grocery and general merchandise retailer in the Pacific Northwest now owned by the Kroger Co. (Cincinnati), and was senior vp of operations there from 2001 to 2003.
