ShopRite (Wilmington, Del.) plans to open its fifth store in Delaware in spring 2011 at School Bell Crossing in Bear, Del. The 70,000-square-foot store will feature an investment of $6 million in new energy-efficient, state-of-the-art equipment, fixtures, lighting and decor. The building will be designed using the LEED certification system, a first in Delaware for supermarkets, and will serve as the anchor tenant to the new School Bell Crossing retail center.

Additional Delaware-based ShopRites are currently located in First State Plaza; Chestnut Hill Plaza; Brandywine Commons; and most recently, a state-of-the-art store at Christina Crossing in downtown Wilmington.
