Wet Seal president and coo Staff resigns

The Wet Seal Inc. (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) announces that ChristopherStaff has resigned as president and coo after less than three monthswith the company.

Staff, who previously worked for Warnaco Group's Authentic Fitness unit,joined the specialty clothing retailer in June. He replaced EdmondThomas who resigned last October. Wet Seal ceo and vice chairman KathyBronstein and executive vp and cfo Walter Parks will assume Staff'sduties. Says Bronstein, “Chris has great ability, but we both found thiswas not a good fit.”

The Wet Seal operates 561 stores in 44 states and Puerto Rico, sellingcontemporary apparel and accessories under the Wet Seal, ContempoCasuals, Arden B. and Zutopia names.
