The Future is Here

Hybridia Design will present a retail technology prototype at NRF Expo

Hybridia Design (Clifton, Va.) has partnered with the National Retail Federation to create the X05 Real Store, the “store of the future,” at NRF’s annual Expo in New York in January.

Richard Russo, president and creative director of Hybridia, said the store — delivering “retail’s future today” — will be a seamless, innovative and unique environment. It will be a centerpiece of the Expo’s trade show floor.

“As the ultimate in-store design and technology proving ground,” said Russo, “X05’s Real Store will house solutions to increase consumer interest through changes in the physical store. Unlike traditional exhibition pavilions, X05 is a custom-built store environment where you can see components together as whole, all under one roof. The synergies created here will bring together forward-thinking retailers, ready to share mutually beneficial advancements.”

The NRF Big Show will take place Jan. 16-19, 2005, at New York’s Javits Convention Center. During the conference, the Institute of Store Planners and VM+SD will discuss the 2004 winners of the annual ISP/VM+SD Store Design Competition.
