Tom Ford has completed the expansion and renovation of its New York flagship store on Madison Avenue, going from 8680 square feet to more than 13,000.

As reported in Women’s Wear Daily, women’s wear now occupies the entire first floor with men’s wear moved to a second floor that has been annexed from neighboring retailer Asprey.

WWD says some of the new interior elements include a gold desk and silver chair, constructed from foam, wood and resin by artist Christopher Schanck, in the foyer; marble fireplace, lacquer walls and pale gray carpeting in a women’s daywear salon adjacent to the entryway; Swedish armchairs and another fireplace, accented with antique bronze wall mirrors, in an eveningwear salon; a Macassar ebony staircase leading to the second floor; and a VIP salon for made-to-measure service.

Ford currently operates 81 stores and brand shops around the world, some with local partners. It expects to grow to 99 by the end of the year.
