True Religion Apparel Inc. (Vernon, Calif.) has opened a new branded retail store at Washington Square in Portland, Ore. The 1485 square-foot space offers the entire True Religion collection for men, women and kids, including jean, sportswear, handbags and a full range of licensed merchandise.

“Washington Square marks our second full-price retail store in Oregon, and will complement our existing Portland location,” says Jeffrey Lubell, chairman, ceo and chief merchant of True Religion Apparel Inc. “Consumers within the Pacific Northwest region continue to exhibit strong demand for True Religion Apparel. As such, we look forward to making our product more accessible to these consumers through the expansion of our consumer direct platform.”

The store is part of Washington Square, a 1.5 million-square-foot retail development in Washington County, which is also home to more than 170 stores, including Oregon's largest Nordstrom, Coach, Apple, Sephora and MetroPark.

In other company news, True Religion has named Lynne Koplin as chief operating officer, in charge of the company’s day-to-day operations. Koplin was previously president of Tommy Bahama’s women’s division.
