Enter a store design competition especially for independent retailers: the second annual VM+SD Independents Day Store Design Competition.

The Independents Day competition celebrates the design achievements of small store owners all around the world – the grass roots of design innovation.

Categories

  • 1.) I had professional design help.
  • 2.) I did it myself.
  • Eligibility

    An independent retailer, as defined by the National Retail Federation, is one with annual revenues of $5 million or less. This store design competition, sponsored by VM+SD magazine, is open to all types of U.S. and Canadian retail that meets this criteria (including cultural center gift stores but NOT restaurants) and was completed between January 1 and December 31, 2001.

    Judging

    Entries will be judged by a panel of independent retailers, designers and the editors of VM+SD.

    Prize

    The prize is editorial exposure — full coverage of contest winners in the July 2002 issue of VM+SD, the leading magazine of the store design and visual merchandising industries. The publishers will also have professional photographs take on the Category 2 winner, for publication
