What Big Arches You Have

McDonald's Corp. (Oak Brook, Ill.) will unveil today its new “town center” format in Easton Town Center (Columbus, Ohio). The new format is three times the size of the traditional McDonald's restaurant and features an interactive drive-through for children, a karaoke booth for tweens and Lavazza premium coffee for adults.

The interactive kids area includes a soft-toy playground and a mini-McDonald's that kids can pretend to operate.

There is also a park for picnics. And the Lavazza coffee area includes sofas and upholstered chairs.

The 11,500-square-foot store is the latest in a series of themed restaurants the fast-food giant is testing. This one was in response to an invitation by Steiner + Associates, co-developers of Easton Town Center, to “be creative.”
