BCBG Max Azria has opened its first store in India, a 1100-square-foot space at the DLF Emporio mall in southern New Delhi. The shopping center is home to such luxury brands as Armani, Christian Louboutin, Bottega Veneta, Christian Dior and Chanel.

Prices at the new BCBG store range from about $64 to $640 U.S.

Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, Sophie Rietdyk, president of licensing and international at BCBG Max Azria Group, said “We're looking at India as an important market … In the U.S., we are in all the malls we should be. So the international market is definitely going to be the focus now.”

The company’s Indian licensing partner, Reliance Brands, says a second Indian BCBG location will open in Mumbai's Palladium mall. BCBG currently has 1000 points of sale in 41 countries across the world. Asia and the Middle East make up 45 percent of the brand's total sales, while Europe and the Americas make up 25 and 30 percent, respectively.
