Rob Bernard resigns; Diane Holtz promoted

The Limited Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) announced on Thursday the resignation of president and ceo of Limited Stores, Rob Bernard. A search is underway for a new ceo of the brand.

In addition, the specialty apparel retailer company announced the promotion of Diane Holtz to president of Limited Stores. In this position she will oversee merchandising and design for the brand. Holtz and the new ceo will share responsibility for the marketing function.

Holtz joined The Limited two years ago as vp of special projects for Limited Design Services where she was responsible for merchandising and product development for the women's retail brands. Prior to that, she was general merchandise manager/senior vp at Ann Taylor. She also served as vp of the career and top division at Ann Taylor and divisional vp at Bloomingdale's.

The Limited Inc., through Express, Structure, Lerner New York, Limited stores and Henri Bendel, operates 2046 specialty stores. The company owns approximately 84 percent of Intimate Brands Inc., the leading specialty retailer of intimate apparel, beauty and personal care products sold through 2619 stores under the Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works and White Barn Candle Co. brands.
