Coach Debuts New Design

150 stores to undergo renovations next year

Coach has rolled out its first newly formatted store, located at New York’s Time Warner Center, offering a glimpse of the company’s three-year $570 million investment in its new “modern luxury” retail identity. The concept reflects the history of the brand, with touches of traditional leather, a glass block façade and reclaimed pine flooring. The new design features mid-century furniture, steel and leather counter stools and lamb shearling-upholstered club chairs. Walls feature cabinet like details displaying the brand’s signature handbags as well as seasonal artwork.

Coach, according to Women’s Wear Daily, says it will debut the new concept in 20 units globally prior to the Christmas holiday, including locations in London’s Harrods department store and the Galeries Lafayette. The company plans to complete the renovations of 150 locations and open 60 new stores by the end of the 2015.
