Erotic Boutique

Hustler of Hollywood, a self-described “erotic boutique” that is the newest retail concept from the drawing board of Larry Flynt, has opened its doors in Monroe, Ohio, outside of Cincinnati. And now, the “adult-goods” entrepreneur has announced that this store prototype will be the model for a national expansion. The 7000-square-foot store traffics in a variety of goods, both sexually oriented (videotapes, books, magazines, sexual aids) and non (sweatshirts and other licensed clothing products). Similar stores will open in New Orleans and Nashville, Tenn. Monroe has a zoning regulation requiring that no more than 40 percent of any store's merchandise be regarded as sexually oriented. City officials conducted secret inventory surveys to make sure the store was in compliance.
