Lord & Taylor Partners with Whoopi Goldberg

Lord & Taylor (New York) and Hudson’s Bay (Toronto) have teamed up with actress and comedienne Whoopi Goldberg to exclusively sell her debut fashion line which features 11 “ugly” Christmas sweaters. In time for the holiday season, the sweaters will be available Nov. 1 in stores and housed in the stores’ “Happy Christmas” holiday gifting section.

Each unisex, cashmere-blend sweater features a humorous scene, such as a gingerbread man taking a bite out of another gingerbread man or dancing reindeer. Explaining her collection, Goldberg said, “I like Christmas sweaters — the stranger the better.”

To promote the line, Goldberg will appear at Lord & Taylor’s New York flagship on Fifth Avenue and will also promote them through various television appearances, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
