Louis Vuitton Debuts Expanded Paris Store

16,000-square-foot space evokes hotel experience

With hotel-like amenities and the feel of a luxurious Parisian apartment, the expanded Louis Vuitton flagship on Paris’ Avenue Montaigne opened to the public Saturday. The store features a concierge desk (where a Louis Vuitton employee will assist customers with any number of tasks, such as making local restaurant reservations) and a hot stamp counter to emboss leather goods with personal monograms.

Architect Peter Marino (New York) designed the space. The store is arranged in a series of plush salons. Many are appointed with seating areas with consultation tables, versus the typical sales counter configuration. Neutral tones are accented by rich textures, including eel leather wall details and gold leaf appliques. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the space features works by artists Bernard Frize, Farhad Moshiri and Remy Markowitsch.
