Wegmans Introduces Fast Casual Concept

Wegmans Food Markets (Rochester, N.Y.) has introduced its latest concept, a fast casual restaurant featuring 120 seats and a menu that includes burgers, beer, wine and frozen desserts.

The concept, titled “The Food Bar,” is located inside its Pittsford, N.Y. store and expects to serve diners within a 10 minute timeframe, including burger and seafood orders, according to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.

The Food Bar will be located in the space that previously housed Wegmans’ upscale, full-service restaurant “Tastings,” which closed a year ago. Wegmans will continue operating its “Next Door Bar & Grill,” located across the street from the Pittsford store.
