Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) revealed details about its Apple Watch at a meeting in San Francisco March 9. This will be the company's newest available product since the 2010 launch of the iPad.

The company announced that the line of three “smartwatches” will have limited distribution and will be sold primarily in Apple stores and online, as well as “select department stores and boutiques,” including Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Isetan in Tokyo and Selfridges in London, according to CNET.

The wearable technology will be on display and available for pre-sale beginning April 10, and for immediate sale on April 24. The watches will be merchandized in designated display cases, showcasing different ways customers can customize the watch with various bands and faces.

The aluminum and glass Apple Watch Sport, the product’s entry-level model, starts at $349. Mid-range watches will retail from $549 to $1099, depending on band type. An 18-karat gold Apple Watch Edition will start at $10,000. The devices operate with an iPhone and can sync with other Apple products.
