Executive Shakeups at Uniqlo, Sears

Retailers ring in year with staff promotions, departures

Tokyo-based Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. has named Nobuo Domae, senior executive group officer, as ceo at Uniqlo USA, Women’s Wear Daily reports. Shin Odake, former Uniqlo USA ceo, will handle the company’s efforts on the East Coast and former cooYasunobu (Kenny) Kyogoku will handle them on the West Coast. The fast-fashion retailer also appointed retail executive Larry Meyer coo.

Department store chain Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) announced that ceo Lou D'Ambrosio will step down due to “family health matters.” Board chairman Edward Lampert will assume the role of ceo.
