diptyque and centdegrés: a new stage in the Marais

Published

on

diptyque renovates its Marais shop Rue des Francs Bourgeois, one of the new trendy places for fragrance and cosmetics in Paris. For its 5th shop in the capital city, diptyque collaborated with centdegrés to create a new precious space for its olfactory creations.

The aim was to express fully the essence, codes, creativity and history of the Brand while keeping in mind the architectural as well as the cultural specificities of the Marais.

In order to do so, diptyque shared with centdegrés its history, from the treasures the founders brought back from their travels, to the etching realized by one of them. This heritage is translated through various materials such as metal, wood, mirrors, stone or wall paper.

This tumult of materials creates a unique and eclectic cocoon. The idea was to live again the first diptyque experience of its historical boutique in a “retro chic bazaar”. This atmosphere is reinforced by the modern movement inspired furniture, the wallpaper in reference to the etchings of the founders, the play of colors and contrasts, as well as the building stone left partially untouched, symbolic of the Marais’ architecture.

At the heart of the olfactory experience lies diptyque’s three pillars: narration, imagination and travel.
