The tiles were developed using Microban technology

Protect is a line of antimicrobial porcelain tiles that are resistant to viruses and reportedly kill up to 99.9 percent of bacteria on surfaces. The tiles were developed using Microban technology, which uses silver ions to block the metabolism of bacteria, preventing it from replicating.
