MANAGEMENT CHANGES
InteliCoat Technologies (South Hadley, Mass.) has appointed Chris McInerney as president and ceo, effective immediately. McInerney has been involved in the industry for more than 25 years.

MaxLite (West Caldwell, N.J.) has announced Jeffrey Hirsch as manager of its customer support group. He will oversee communications, customer service, and quality control and technical support for lighting distributors and industry professionals report to the director of global operations in his new role.

Chute Gerdeman (Columbus) gained three new employees. Rob Gallo has joined as vp of business strategy and intelligence; Bonnie Kyle has been hired as construction manager; and Maria Rosmarin joins as design development designer. The firm has also announced new roles for three associates. Jay Highland is now vp, client creative partner; Matt Jeffries has been promoted to design director for the company’s brand communications service office; and Steve Williams has been promoted to program manager.

Macini-Duffy/TSC (New York) announced Theodore S. Hammer has joined the firm to head its architecture practice. Hammer was previously managing partner and partner-in-charge of design at HLW.

GestureTek Systems Inc. (Toronto) has become the exclusive distributor for Displax Interactive System’s Skin Multi-touch product in both Canada and the U.S. The Skin Multi-touch is a thin transparent film that can be used on windows, monitors and glass, among other surfaces.

Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc. (Greenwich, Conn.) has completed an $18.2 million purchase of the Chestnut Ridge Shopping Center in Montvale, N.J. as well as the Plaza 59 Shopping Center in Spring Valley, N.Y.

EFI (Foster City, Calif.) has announced that its event Connect 2013 is nearly sold out. The event takes place Jan. 15-18 at the Wynn Las Vegas. The event is in its fourteenth year.

ORR Lighting (Toronto) has gained the Energy Star qualification for commercial and residential use for its S9051 LED Series Downlights. The product also meets qualifications for the Canadian Lighting Rebate Office Hydro Rebate initiative.

Loehmann’s NY Design Challenge competition (New York) has named three finalists from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Maor Tapiro from Brooklyn, N.Y.; Ou Ma of Beijing; and Ying Wang of Xi’an, China received the most votes out of seven semi-finalists. A grand prize winner will be announced April 2013. The winner’s garment will be showcased in Loehmann’s Chelsea window.

Bergmann Associations (Rochester, N.Y.) has acquired Gantt Huberman Architects in Charlotte, N.C. The twenty-six person firm will become Bergmann’s twelfth regional office. Other offices are located in Michigan, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Architectural Systems Inc. (New York) has created a new, keyword-enabled search function on ArchSystems.com, which will allow visitors to describe the material instead of searching for it via product name.

idX Corp. (St. Louis, Mo.) has launched a new division in Dayton, Ohio, with more than 200,000 square-feet of warehousing, manufacturing and office space. It will employ 150 project management, manufacturing, and engineering and administrative personnel.

PropNspoon (New York) is moving to a larger showroom facility in Long Island City in order to enhance displays of new furniture, fabrication and prop collections, display larger fabrications. The location at 32-00 Skillman Ave. opens January 14.
