Bon-Ton to Add Department Store

New Herberger’s location will be in Pocatello, Idaho

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. (York, Pa.) has signed a lease with General Growth Properties, Inc. (Chicago) for a 122,500-square-foot facility in the Pine Ridge Mall, in Pocatello, Idaho.

The retailer will remodel the space to operate a 61,300-square-foot Herberger’s store on the lower level of the facility. Construction is expected to begin in April and be completed by the end of October.

The opening marks the first Herberger’s location in Idaho and will join existing tenants at The Pine Ridge Mall, including Sears, JCPenney and ShopKo.

Parent-company Bon-Ton Stores operates 272 department stores under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Parisian, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers nameplates.
