After only five months in retirement, Burt Tansky, the former chairman and ceo of the Neiman Marcus Group, has found a new job. Tansky has joined Marvin Traub Associates as a senior advisor, a new position at the global consulting firm. He will work with MTA’s ceo Marvin Traub and president Morton Singer, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

“I will be participating in helping their clients and finding new clients,” Tansky told WWD.

Tansky will advise “a targeted number of global companies on their strategy and business development needs,” says Traub, a former Bloomingdale’s executive. He founded his firm in 1992 to specialize in business development and strategy focused on fashion brands, retailers, real estate development and financial services in the upscale retail and consumer goods sector.

Tansky also continues to serve as non-executive chairman of Neiman Marcus Group.
