Capital Teas (Annapolis, Md.) plans to open a dozen new stores per year after raising $5 million in Series A funding through Pear Tree Partners earlier this year, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The funding is already fueling Capital Teas' expansion of its full-service boutiques, tea bars and micro-stores. In the past four months, the company has doubled its footprint from six to 13 stores.

Next year, Capital Teas plans to open locations in Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Washington, D.C.'s L'Enfant Plaza subway station and in Princeton, N.J.
