According to the 2021-22 American Customer Satisfaction Index Restaurant Study, consumers’ satisfaction with full-service restaurants is stable but their satisfaction in fast-food restaurants has fallen 2.6 percent.

Scored on a scale from 0-100, full-service restaurants as a whole scored 80 while fast-food chains scored 76. Customers noted they prefer full-service restaurants due to the accuracy of food orders, cleanliness of the restaurant, quality and variety of food.

Among larger full-service chains, there is a tie for first place between LongHorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse, which each scored an 80. Cracker Barrel and Fridays follow behind with each scoring 78. Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and Red Robin are next with scores of 77.

Chick-fil-A led all fast-food restaurants for the eighth year in a row, scoring an 83. Jimmy John’s placed second with a score of 79, while Domino’s and KFC each scored 78 to tie for third place.
