Christian Louboutin (Paris) will open the doors to a new store this month on Robertson Boulevard. The 1800-square-foot space, designed by New York-based design firm 212box, is housed in a two-story 1930s building adjacent to the Hollywood Foreign Press offices.

Designers cleaned and painted the exterior and updated it with new awnings in Louboutin’s signature red. A hand-forged iron gate serves as the main entrance on Robertson Boulevard.

Inside, the first room is anchored on one side with Louboutin boutique trademarks like the arched display niches and a mirrored wall that displays the shoes on white glass shelves. The other side is covered in custom-made white on white ceramic tiles, each with one of 9000 encrypted letters, numbers or symbols – a new signature Louboutin “language” originally developed by 212box for the Sao Paulo boutique. Several large colorful ottomans and seating imported from Beirut add to the lively front room environment.

The store’s middle section contains a tin-panel-clad cash wrap that also serves as a long bar with built-in swivel stools. A stairwell in the back, featuring a wall clad in antique mirror panels that rise over 26 feet high, draws customers up to the second floor retail rooms and VIP lounge.
