Two high-profile restaurants will debut early next year in the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles. The Casa Dani and Katsuya will sit side-by-side and be joined by a circular bar.

The $25 million restaurant complex is being developed by SBE (Beverly Hills) and is being designed by Rockwell Group (New York). The venue will span 17,000 square feet with a seating capacity of 400.

Casa Dani is a Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant by 3-star Michelin chef Dani García, while Katsuya is a Japanese fusion eatery. In addition to separate dining rooms for the two brands, the complex will include three bars, including an open-air Katsuya Beer Garden, an atrium arrival area and a terrace with views of Beverly and Hollywood Hills.

“These restaurants celebrate the unique artistry of their chefs to provide guests with memorable culinary experiences,” said Rockwell Group Founder and President David Rockwell. “For Casa Dani, we wanted to build upon the Mediterranean-influenced design language we developed for the flagship location in New York while also incorporating some signature elements, including a hand-glazed green fireplace. The new Katsuya is a continuation of our exploration of Japanese craftsmanship and building technique filtered through a minimalist lens.”

Said Sam Nazarian, SBE Chairman and CEO: “We continually push for the best spaces across every city we have roots in, and this rare and iconic location is no exception.”
