Comcast Retail Store to Open in Chicago

Aims to improve customer service experience

Published

The cable and Internet service provider Comcast (Philadelphia) has announced a new prototype retail store to open in Chicago this June, reports the Chicago Tribune. The aim of the store is to raise the bar on the level of customer service it provides and how customers experience the brand.

To do so, the store, which is being dubbed Studio Xfinity, will offer amenities such as scheduled appointments, as well as demonstrations of the latest technologies. One of the innovations customers can expect to preview in the store is the service’s voice-controlled TV remote, which will enable Comcast users to change channels, adjust volume and search for shows simply by voicing commands.
