Crate and Barrel Celebrates Capitol Records’ 75th Anniversary

In celebration of Los Angeles-based Capitol Records’ 75th anniversary, Crate and Barrel (Los Angeles) has announced it will partner with the record company for a new in-store concept. The residential-style experiential area will include 75 limited-release, remastered vinyl Capitol recordings accompanied by exclusive furniture and accessory items from the home goods retailer’s The Listening Room collection. “We wanted to create a space for longtime collectors and those new to vinyl to kick back, relax and enjoy some of the best music of the past 75 years,” said Crate and Barrel CEO Doug Diemoz, in a statement released by the company.

This store opening originally appeared in the September 2016 issue of VMSD in the “On Our Radar” section.
