David Kepron Joins Marriott Intl. as Vp Global Design Strategies

David Kepron joins Marriott International as Vice President – Global Design Strategies. His focus is on the creation of compelling customer experiences within The Lifestyle Collection, which includes Moxy, The Autograph Collection and Renaissance Hotels.

Kepron brings 20 years of retail design expertise to the making of meaningful customer connections at hotels around the globe. His multidisciplinary approach to design focuses on understanding consumer behavior and creating relevant brand experiences at the intersection of architecture, sociology, neuroscience and emerging digital technologies. For Kepron, success is making remarkable moments for our consumers that foster lasting connections.

Kepron is passionate about sharing his vision for the brand-based world. He is frequently requested to speak to global retailers, hoteliers and design professionals on subjects ranging from brain science and buying behavior to creativity and innovation. He has also held teaching positions at various schools, including New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.), and he served as the Director of the Visual Merchandising Department at LaSalle International Fashion School (L.I.F.S.) in Singapore. In 2014, Kepron shared his insights with an even broader audience, releasing his first book, titled: “Retail (r)Evolution: Why Creating Right-Brain Stores Will Shape the Future of Shopping in a Digitally Driven World.”
