Retail Design Expo (RDE) has partnered with leading retail and brand design consultancy, FITCH, to create the entrance installation feature for this year’s RDE show.

Renowned for bringing together seamless solutions that combine the physical, human and digital elements of a brand to create unique experience signatures, FITCH has led design projects for international retail brands including Adidas and Lego.  Its installation at RDE seeks to bring together style and substance; whilst the entrance will showcase the latest in design innovation and style, the installation will also communicate some of the topical issues currently facing the retail sector.

A first for the show, the partnership with FITCH reflects RDE’s commitment in championing the high standards of creativity and innovation being achieved in today’s retail design sector.

Tim Greenhalgh, Chairman and Chief Creative for FITCH, commented: “When RDE approached us to imagine a feature area that welcomes visitors to the show, we wanted to create something that would be visually arresting, impactful at scale, and immersive.  At the same time, we wanted to make a strong statement about the dynamic and fascinating nature of retail itself, which matched the progressive design concepts on show at the expo.”

Sarah Adams, Show Director of Retail Design Expo, said, “This is an exciting first for RDE – in partnering with FITCH to create the entrance installation, we wanted to set the tone for the show at the very outset.  It means visitors passing through the entrance space can build a sense of anticipation of what is to come and get a taste of some of the progressive design concepts that await them inside the show hall.”

The installation will be unveiled at the first day of the RDE show on the 2 May at London’s Olympia.
