Gensler, the San Francisco-based architecture and design firm, won top honors in the annual Business Week/Architectural Record Awards for its design of the Toys “R” Us international flagship store in New York's Times Square.

The firm also won a top honor for its design of furniture-maker Allsteel Inc.'s headquarters facility in Muscatine, Iowa, and was a finalist for its design of ING Direct CafŽ in New York.

Gensler is the only designer to be recognized for multiple projects this year, and the firm's win also represents the biggest sweep in the history of the six-year award program.

The BW/AR Awards, sponsored by The American Institute of Architects (AIA), in conjunction with Architectural Record and Business Week magazines, are given annually for collaborations of client and architect in achieving measurable business and organizational goals through the use of design.
