Etienne Aigner US (New York) has opened a first-ever flagship location in New York’s SoHo district.

The luxury leather goods-maker’s 3500-square-foot store on Greene Street begins with a 12-foot cordovan leather door with brass nailheads.

The store will sell not only the brand’s classic items, like a $625 doctor bag, but also is experimenting with ready-to-wear.

Aigner, born in what is now Slovakia, launched his U.S. business in 1950 after a successful career designing and manufacturing in Europe. He opened his first showroom in Manhattan in 1959.
