Benetton (Milan) announced that its CEO Marco Airoldi has resigned. No successor has yet been named, however, he will officially step down May 16.

Airoldi became the company’s ceo in 2014 and subsequently launched plans to redesign its stores and refocus the brand on its target markets.

The company also announced that it has hired a new chief operating officer, Tommaso Brusò, who, according to Fashion Network, will help the company transition after Airoldi’s departure. Brusò started his career at Benetton and is currently ceo for Diesel USA (Breganze, Italy).
