“Fairy Tale Fashion” on display through April 16th 2016 in The Museum at FIT, New York City, examines fairy tales through the lens of high fashion. This imaginative and unique exhibition features more than 80 garments and accessories from the 18th century through present day showcased on Schlappi mannequins placed in fantasy-like settings.

Fairy tales often provide vivid descriptions of clothing and accessories which play a critical role in, signaling the status, wealth or vanity of particular characters symbolizing their transformation. Designers such as Thom Browne, Dolce and Gabbana, Tom Ford, Giles, Mary Katrantzou, Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Prada, Rodarte, and Walter Van Beirendonck, among others contributed to the exhibition.

“Fairy Tale Fashion” features the Schlappi 2200 collection as well as custom designed Schlappi petite mannequins supplied by DK Display. We are proud to be a part the Museum at FIT's most popular exhibit to date.
