Meyda Lighting Builds World’s Largest Chandelier; FRCH Appoints Client Account Director; Planar Partners with Google

FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati retail design firm) has appointed Parke Wellman as client account director.

idX Corp. (St. Louis fixture manufacturer, logistics and project manager) has named Bill Rapagnani vp, customer development.

Kurt Salmon Associates (New York global consulting firm) has named John Karonis managing director, consumer products division, North America, and has promoted the following to officers: David Bassuk; Bryan Eshelman; and Jeff Hoffman. The company has also named Madison Riley leader of its global marketing council.

Planar Systems Inc. (Beaverton, Ore., provider of specialty display solutions) announced that its CoolSign offering is the first digital signage software platform to integrate with the Google Calendar web-based calendar service and Google Docs, a word-processing and spreadsheet application. The new integration allows users to update and control digital signs using the two programs.

Meyda Lighting (Yorkville, New York manufacturer of Tiffany lamps and decorative lighting) announced it’s building the largest free-hanging chandelier in the world for a local performing arts theater. The chandelier is custom-crafted from steel, glass and acrylic. It is 34 feet in diameter, 17 feet tall and weighs 7000 pounds.
