Davaco Inc. (Dallas provider of retail services) has appointed Tom Smith to general counsel.

Harden Furniture (McConnellsville, N.Y., furniture manufacturer) has announced president and ceo Greg Harden has been appointed to the New York State Environmental Board by Gov. George Pataki.

Lamina Ceramics (Westampton, N.J., provider of LEDs) has announced an agreement with Arrow North American Components’ lighting group (Melville, N.Y., provider of semiconductors and passive, electromechanical and connector products and services) to distribute Lamina’s LED products throughout North America and increase the support level to its customers.

Award:

Remote Media (Essex, U.K., provider of digital signage and interactive products) received the award for Best Use of In-Store Marketing Technology in Retail at the Retail Systems Awards 2006 for its Thomson Digital Poster Network.
