Former Sephora Ceo Dies

The former president and ceo of Sephora (Paris), Jacques Levy, died on January 1 after a long illness. Levy, who became president and ceo of Sephora in late 2005, stepped down from his role at the perfumery chain in March 2011, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

After leaving Sephora, Levy joined Guess as an advisor to company founder Paul Marciano. His career also included posts at Staples Intl., Disney, Darty and Galeries Lafayette/Nouvelles Galeries.

Levy graduated from France’s Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales. He is survived by his wife and three children.
