Levi Strauss & Co. (San Francisco) has hired Rebecca Van Dyck as global chief marketing officer of its Levi’s brand, while Tiffany & Co. (New York) has named Frederic Cumenal as executive vice president.

Prior to joining Levi’s, Van Dyck was senior director of worldwide marketing and communications with Apple Inc., where she was involved in the launches of such products as the iPhone, iPad and iPod + iTunes. Before that, Van Dyck was at Nike Inc., where she played a central role in the creation and rollout of that brand’s “Just Do It” campaign.

“Becca is a world-class marketer whose deep understanding of consumer behavior and innovative approach to engaging with consumers will help take the Levi's brand to the next level,” said Robert Hanson, president of the global Levi’s brand. “Her proven success in creating and managing consistent and disciplined marketing experiences across diverse geographies and cultures will be a tremendous asset.”

Meanwhile, at Tiffany & Co., Cumenal will be responsible for the company’s businesses in Asia, Japan, Europe and emerging markets. Cumenal joins the jeweler from the LVMH Group, where he was most recently president and ceo of its Moët & Chandon S.A. unit.

“Frederic brings a wealth of luxury brand experience and a highly developed global perspective that will prove especially important as Tiffany’s growth continues outside of the Americas,” said Tiffany chairman and ceo Michael Kowalski.
