JCPenney Co. Inc. (Plano, Texas) is attempting to reinvent itself through a television and social media campaign launched Wednesday, which literally asks shoppers to “come back,” Reuters reports. The ad, which has already been posted on YouTube and will run on television in the next week, portrays JCPenney stores from the 1960s with a female voice iterating, “Come back to JCPenney. We heard you. Now we’d love to see you,” according to Reuters.

When questioned by Reuters, JCPenney’s spokesperson Daphne Avila responded, “This campaign sends a clear message that we listened, and now, we’re doing everything we can to bring customers back.”
