Joe Fresh to Open in SoHo

September is target for art-filled, edgier store

Joe Fresh will open its second New York store this fall in the SoHo neighborhood.

The 10,000-square-foot space, on Broadway near Grand Street, is a former Daffy’s store. According to a report in Women’s Wear Daily, Joe Fresh founder Joe Mimran was attracted to the building “by the columns and tin ceiling and history embedded in the walls of the cast iron artist’s loft space.”

“SoHo is a more casual and fashion-oriented market with a much edgier customer, lots of students and more experimentation,” Mimran said of the neighborhood.

The Canadian retailer said “he’d be satisfied with nine or 10 units in New York.”
