Retail sales in the U.S. rose 0.8 percent in July compared to June, exceeding economists’ predictions and making up for three previous months of declining sales, The Wall Street Journal reports. According to the WSJ, back-to-school spending may be the cause of the leap, but unemployment figures remain a concern.
