Kmart to Sell Liquidated Products

New merchandise strategy

Published

on

Kmart, owned by Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.), has announced that it will begin selling liquidated products from bankrupt companies to attract customers.

The discounted products offered are expected to range from outdoor cookers to clothing and food, and will complement the retailer’s Bluelight Specials program, which was reinstituted last year.

Kmart President Alasdair James said, “The path to making Kmart great again starts with sourcing truly brag-worthy deals that can only be found at Kmart.”

The news comes a month after the company announced that more than two dozen Kmart stores would be closing this spring, reports New York Post.
