Kohl’s Adds Nine Stores

Kohl’s Department Stores (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) has opened nine stores in seven states, including Illinois, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

The new locations are part of ongoing expansion plan that was announced in September and calls for 40 new stores in 2011.

“We continue to bring customers new stores where they can enjoy quality national and exclusive brands at exceptional values,” says Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, president and ceo.

In addition to the new store openings this spring, Kohl's is remodeling approximately 100 stores this year, an 18 percent increase from 2010. “We are investing in our existing store base, to keep the customer experience fresh and exciting,” says Mansell.

Kohl's operates 1097 stores in 49 states.
