Devanlay USA Inc. (New York), which does business as Lacoste USA, has named Robert Skinner as ceo. Skinner was ceo of Kellwood Co. (Chesterfield, Mo.) until earlier this year, when the apparel manufacturer was acquired by Sun Capital Partners Inc. (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Skinner was replaced.

At Lacoste, Skinner will replace Robert Siegel, who is retiring at the end of the year after seven years with the company. Under Siegel's direction, the 75-year-old brand modernized its fashions and opened specialty stores, including its flagship on New York’s Fifth Avenue. With about 75 stores now, the company plans to operate between 90 and 100 U.S. stores within four years.
