Lululemon Posts Strong Results

Comparable store sales, profits increase

Lululemon Athletica Inc. (Vancouver, B.C.) reported its comparable store sales for the third quarter rose 18 percent and that gross profits the period were up 36 percent. The yoga-inspired athletic apparel retailer ended the quarter with 201 stores open in Australia and North America.

“I am very proud of the team for achieving yet another strong quarter coming in ahead of our expectations,” said Christine Day, ceo of Lululemon. “Our stellar results were driven by first-rate execution, strong community engagement, beautiful product and continued strength in our ecommerce business.”
