Madewell (Charlottesville, Va.) opened its fourth standalone menswear location Thursday, its second in Los Angeles in the city’s Silver Lake neighborhood, Retail Dive reports.

Madewell’s VP of Merchandising Beth Herget told Retail Dive in an email about the company’s expansion into menswear, “There’s an emphasis now on finding pieces that are presentable in a range of scenarios, from Zoom, to an in-person meeting, to a dinner out with friends. Men are discerning the quality of their clothes, and not only do they want the fit to be perfect, they also want the shopping experience to be easy and intuitive.”

Partnering with third-party sellers and other brands in order to sell and feature unique products, each Madewell standalone menswear store features a “Denim Bar,” and some offer tailoring services.

The specialty apparel retailer has been quietly opening locations for the past few years, starting with a men’s pop-up shop in Brooklyn in 2018, and expanding to cities like New York and Austin.
