Merchant Changes at Saks

Deborah Walters, senior vp and general merchandise manager of beauty, fragrance, lingerie and swimwear at Saks Fifth Avenue (New York) is leaving the company after 22 years, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Replacing her is Kate Oldham. Oldham joined Saks in 1991 and recently served as vp and general manager of the Fifth Avenue flagship, in charge of beauty, fragrance, lingerie and swimwear. She will report to Jennifer de Winter, chief merchandising officer.

Saks also announced the appointment of Sunny Diego to vp and divisional merchandise manager of men’s sportswear. Diego was an 18-year veteran of Saks when she left to assume the post of chief merchant at Lividini & Co. in 2012. Diego is credited with helping to launch the SFA Men’s Collection, now the store’s largest men’s vendor, according to WWD.
