Microsoft’s Stores to Neighbor Apple’s

Software giant seeks to put retail outlets next to those of its rival

Microsoft’s planned chain of retail stores  won't just be similar in concept to Apple's — they'll also be similar in location, PC World reports. “There will be scenarios where we have stores in proximity to Apple,” a spokesperson for the Redmond, Wash.-based software company told the technology publication. In addition, PC World noted that a Reuters news service story quoted Microsoft coo Kevin Turner as saying “we’re going to have some retail stores opened up right next door to Apple stores this fall” during a Webcast conference earlier this week.
