Feigenbaum named chair of vm department at LIM

Eric Feigenbaum, retail design and visual veteran, has been appointed chair of the Visual Merchandising Department at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (New York). Feigenbaum, director of creative services for his own retail design company, GlobeArts (Hartsdale, N.Y.), joined the LIM faculty in 2000. He is also an adjunct instructor of store design at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Feigenbaum served as corporate director of visual merchandising for Stern's Department Stores (Paramus, N.J.), a division of Federated Department Stores (Cincinnati), from 1986 to 1995. He later was director of visual merchandising for WalkerGroup/CNI in New York. He is the contributing author of VM+SD's “Our Century” column, a monthly decade-by-decade historical view of retailing in the 20th Century.
