Forecast calls for 140 new stores for the U.K. fashion retailer

The U.S. fashion retail sector is bracing for another British invasion with Monsoon’s latest plans for expansion. U.K. press reports say the nearly 40-year-old chain will open 140 stores within the next 12 months. International growth will be a priority for the 1,000 shop chain. Already in 50 countries outside of its U.K. home base, Monsoon is said to be targeting North American and Latin America, as well as growing its presence in China.
